The University of Missouri Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame was made possible by the 1989 bequest of $100,000 from the estate of the late A.C. (Ace) and Mary Stotler. Displays honoring each of the inductees are located in the lobby of Mizzou Arena, after being housed in the main concourse of the Hearnes Center until the fall of 2004.
The Hall's constitution and bylaws express its purpose "...to recognize and honor those individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the achievements and prestige of the University of Missouri in the field of athletics, and who have continued to demonstrate in their lives, the values imparted by intercollegiate athletics."
