The Varsity M Mission

The Varsity M Association is an affiliate program of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and an affinity group of the MU Alumni Association. The purpose of the Varsity M Association is to support current and former student athletes while carrying out its mission of academic and athletic excellence. The Association reunites former Mizzou varsity student athletes in the spirit of fellowship and cooperation for the proactive reason of supplementing the athletic department's effort to enhance the academic and athletic experience for current Tiger student athletes.

Membership Criteria

Membership in the Varsity M Association is limited to those persons who have earned a letter in varsity athletics or sports medicine while attending the University of Missouri, and who have paid the established membership dues of the MU Alumni Association. Membership in the Varsity M Association and MU Alumni Association is concurrent. Any alumni athlete letterwinner who joins the MUAA automatically becomes a member of the Varsity M Association.

• Reconnect with teammates and coaches through annual reunions.
• Gain access to the MU Alumni Association database to locate former teammates and friends.
• Receive Claws & Stripes, the association's newsletter, three times a year.
• Use the Varsity M Student Lounge located in the Tom Taylor complex.
• Receive your official Varsity M lapel pin, unique to MU letterwinners.
• Receive invitations to special events such as the Founder's Day celebration, annual meeting and more.
• Get opportunities to purchase Varsity M apparel and other MU merchandise at reduced prices.
• Receive priority parking in the Varsity M parking lot during all home football games.
• Attend the tailgate meal for letterwinners and their guests prior to all home football games.
• Participate in the Homecoming parade and join Varsity M members on the field to welcome the team into the Stadium.
• Receive all benefits offered by the MU Alumni Association.
